Is America’s Brain… Dead?
This isn’t a helpful article about anything, except the audacious, mind boggling honesty of the drug makers now.
I watched a commercial tonight, September 30th, 2008 for Chantix. It’s a drug that claims a 44% success rate of helping a smoker quit. This commercial spent 20% of time telling us how it helps a person quit smoking and 80% of the remaining time listing the side effects….
They clearly tell you it may cause suicide, thoughts of suicide and other very disturbing possibilities.
Is this a new honesty from the drug companies or are they so confident that people don’t care enough about serious side effects anymore, that they know enough people will still buy their poison in an attempt to gain the goal of the supposed purpose of the drug.
I don’t know, but I was stunned by the thought of any product ever being so blatant about the facts of danger to an individual. It’s like saying, “I dare you to take this.” Arrogant disregard for failure…
Have we become so desperate, so stupid, so blind, that we will still buy a drug on the outside chance it will help us stop one addiction and risk our lives to do it?
If you haven’t seen it yet… keep watching, especially on the network nightly news.
If you’d like information to help your health that won’t push you to suicide, you can check here.

For the first time in years I have been watching a bit of TV lately (such as The History Channels, The Sci-Fi Channel, National Geographic, etc.) and it is simply amazing to see all the “Just Ask Your Doctor” ads with the horrific list of side effects that pass by once the healthy actors have set the initial hook. Running a fairly close second are the ads for attorney firms soliciting people who have been harmed by drugs to let them represent them and the male enhancement commercials.

Yeah, you’re getting it Tony. The “conditioning” continues…
They hope you won’t think for yourself or take any responsibility for your own health.
They’re counting on it! It’s their livelihood. But it’s your life!
